Executive Coaching and Therapy in Denver
Manage and thrive under the weight of leadership
You're a driver, a builder, and a leader who thrives on solving complex problems and inspiring your team to do their best work. But the pressure at this level is immense, and the reality is, it can be incredibly isolating and uniquely challenging at times.
The relentless demand to be "on," to have all the answers, and to carry the responsibility for others' success takes a toll that few people can understand.
I'm Allie, and I'm a licensed therapist who provides a unique blend of executive coaching and therapy for leaders and high-performers in Denver. My practice is a confidential space designed for you to put down the weight of your role, get clear on the patterns that drive you, and cultivate a more sustainable, authentic way of leading — and living.
Signs the weight of leadership has become more than just a demanding job
This hybrid of coaching and therapy is for you if:
You feel the creeping effects of burnout, or a sense of "is this all there is?" despite your success.
You struggle with imposter syndrome, constantly fearing you'll be found out.
The stress of your job is negatively impacting your relationships and well-being.
You feel isolated and lack a truly confidential sounding board.
Your reactions to your team or board sometimes feel bigger than the situation calls for.
You want to lead with greater authenticity and emotional intelligence, not just better tactics.
If several of these sound familiar, that's worth a real conversation — not just another leadership book.
Move beyond executive coaching with therapy
While traditional executive coaching is excellent for strategy and surface-level behaviors, it often misses the deeper currents actually running the show. My approach is different — we don't just talk about what you're doing, we explore why you're doing it. I've written more about this distinction in The Missing Link in Executive Coaching.
As a licensed therapist, I help you see the unconscious patterns, the old relational dynamics, and the core beliefs about your worth that show up in your leadership style, your decision-making, and your relationships. The result isn't just a change in behavior — it's a shift from the inside out.
How I help Denver leaders grow and thrive
Mastering your inner world: We'll use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand the competing parts of you — the relentless inner critic, the ambitious achiever, the part that fears failure. I've written more about this specific pattern in Beyond the Achiever Shadow, including how it shows up in Denver's high-achievement culture specifically.
Strengthening relational intelligence: Leadership is relationship. We'll explore your attachment patterns to understand how you build trust, handle conflict, and inspire your team.
Building true resilience: Instead of just "powering through," you'll learn to regulate your nervous system through somatic work — managing stress, making clearer decisions under pressure, and preventing burnout before it takes hold.
Connecting your identity to more than your job: We'll work to ensure your sense of self isn't solely tied to your professional achievements — including if perfectionism is part of what's driving the pattern.

FAQs
How is this different from a traditional executive coach?
1
Traditional coaching is excellent for strategy and skill-building, but it often stops at behavior. My approach adds clinical depth — we look at the unconscious patterns and old relational dynamics driving that behavior, not just the behavior itself.
Will this take time away from an already packed schedule?
2
Sessions are entirely virtual, so there's no commute whether you're downtown, in the Tech Center, or further out toward Boulder. Most clients find the clarity this work creates saves more time than the sessions take.
I don't have a diagnosable issue — I just feel stretched thin. Is this still for me?
3
Yes. Most of the leaders I work with are managing well by any outside measure and still feel like something's off underneath it. That gap is exactly what this work addresses.
Is this confidential, given my position?
4
Completely. Everything discussed is held to the same confidentiality standards as any therapy relationship, which is part of why many executives prefer this over coaching arrangements tied to their company.
